As Yogis, we must take time to nourish, cleanse and rejuvenate the temple in which our spirit dwells.

The gift of Āyurveda is that it teaches us how to properly promote longevity so that we may live a happy and fulfilled life!

This guided Āyurvedic self-care practice supports a full spectrum of Āyurvedic and Yogic living.

It is packed with tools and information that foster self-knowing, self-love, and self-confidence, including several dinacharya (daily routine) practices that can be incorporated into our lifestyle.

 

Practices covered in this class:
Jiwah Prakshalan (tongue scrapping)
Kavala (oil pulling)
Nasya (oil application to nasal passage)
Abhyanga (self oil massage)
Yogic Relaxation and Guided healing meditation
Shower Tips for post-oil application

 

Supplies needed for this class:
• 4 to 6oz warm oil: (sesame, coconut, or sunflower)
• Yoga Mat
• Two large bath towels
• 1-2 warm damp washcloths
• 1-2 dry washcloths
• An oil warmer or mug warmer
• Tissue paper
• Cotton balls
• A thermos of hot water
• An empty cup
• Bathing suit or clothes you won’t mind getting oil on... ideally naked

Note: Oil bottles with lids are best as they prevent spilling. Glass is less invasive on the oil but can become slippery. Plastic won’t break!

Coconut oil is my favorite all-around oil. It’s easy to get, tastes great, and blends well. Banyan Botanicals also offers a lovely Tri-doshic blend called Daily Massage Oil.
